The Reign of Rome Slot Game
I've put plenty of spins through Reign of Rome, a 5x5, 19-line Hacksaw slot with cascading wins and a gritty Roman battlefield vibe. LootLines are back, tied to four Tribute symbol types and a trio of escalating free spins bonuses. There are no wilds, so the Tributes carry the weight. Volatility sits around medium to high, the top RTP is 96.27%, and max win hits 15,000x in any mode. Stakes range from 10p to £100, with quick play options for those who like a faster tempo.

Symbols and Payouts in Reign of Rome
Nine regulars fill the paytable. The lows are J, Q, K and A, paying 0.2x, 1x and 2.5x for 3, 4 and 5 of a kind. Goblet and Swords give 0.5x, 2x and 5x, Helmet and Lion pay 1x, 3x and 7.5x, while Eagle leads with 2x, 5x and 10x. Lines pay left to right on at least three adjacent reels, then a cascade clears winners and drops fresh symbols. Scatters are the FS letters. There are no wilds, which shapes the flow quite a bit.
Specials are Tribute symbols, which do not pay like regulars and only score through LootLines. They appear as Adding or Multiplying variants, with Revealing versions that turn into higher values. The cash prize on a LootLine is built from the combined Tribute values and then applied to your stake. It is a clean matrix that keeps the base game ticking over between bonus entries, and those Tribute hits can stack up fast when cascades keep feeding the grid.

Reign of Rome Slot Bonus Features
Tribute Symbols and LootLines carry the game. A LootLine forms when Tribute symbols land on a standard payline. Values combine one by one from left to right. Adding Tribute values range from 1x to 10x, Revealing Adding go 15x up to 500x, Multiplying are x2 to x5, and Revealing Multiplying reach x6 to x25. Adding values are summed, Multiplying values multiply the running total. Any multiplying value on the far-left position is treated as Adding, which keeps calculation fair.
Path to Power triggers from 3 FS scatters and starts on 10 free spins. You get the same reel behaviour but with a raised chance of higher Tribute values, which is where the game wakes up. Land 2 or 3 scatters during the round for +2 or +4 spins. This is Rome needs 4 FS scatters and also starts with 10 spins. Here, all non-winning Tributes that land on the same spin as at least one Tribute win are stored on a LootBar below each reel.
Fill all five LootBar positions and the stored values are paid, then those meters reset to 0x. The hidden epic, Fight for Glory, needs 5 FS scatters and starts on 10 spins. It mirrors This is Rome but LootBars begin at 20x and all stored values are held until the end, then paid as one prize. Five buys are offered where allowed. BonusHunt at 3x makes bonuses five times likelier, Shield Wall and Spears Out both cost 50x, while Path to Power and This is Rome are 100x and 200x. Note that RTP and volatility can change on buys.

How to Win at Reign of Rome Slot
Wins land by matching three or more symbols along the 19 paylines from the leftmost reel, with cascades extending sequences when they drop in new matches. Tribute value building is the heartbeat, so I like to keep stakes steady and let the grid roll until a round arrives. BonusHunt can help if I want more feature volume, while Shield Wall or Spears Out give targeted Tribute pressure when I feel the base is flat. The hit rate sits near 27%, so patience and bankroll control matter.
Reign of Rome Slot RTP & Volatility
The headline RTP is 96.27%, which is fine for a Hacksaw grid, though there are alternative configurations at 94.22%, 92.33% and 88.27%. I always check the game info panel before committing, because a lower setup will drag long term. Volatility runs from high moments down to medium-high across modes. LootLines can be spiky, and the top bonus is not exactly easy to see, so balance your session length with that in mind.
Stakes range from 10p to £100, with a broad set of increments that make ramping up or down smooth. The max win is 15,000x and it is available in the base game and all features. Feature buys, where permitted, come with small RTP shifts and different volatility profiles. If I am buying, I tend to favour Path to Power for pace, while This is Rome gives that LootBar chase which can bridge dead spins and keep totals moving.
