Sumo Sumo: Slot Features
Adjacent sumo symbols can jump onto one position to create a Wild Sumo Stack when a win hits, or they can pile onto an existing stack of the same type. Each stack occupies a single tile, turns wild, and carries a multiplier equal to the number of sumos inside it. Get more than one Wild Sumo Stack involved in a win and their multipliers apply multiplicatively, which is where the grid starts to hum. Multiple stacks can form off the same connection when routes split.
Whenever a stack is created, a respin is awarded and the stack walks one step to the right. Reaching the rightmost reel makes it turn and trudge back to the left. In the base game, stacks spin off when they march past reel one, or when a respin lands with no win and no stack addition. Horizontally adjacent matching sumo symbols that land next to a stack will hop aboard, growing the multiplier and keeping the reel to reel shuffle going.
During a respin, if opposite Wild Sumo Stack types end up on the same row, the one on the right charges the one on the left for a brawl. The larger stack wins and its multiplier is multiplied by the value of the losing stack, while the loser is removed. If they are equal, a winner is picked at random. A brawl can also flip the direction of the surviving stack. It is chaotic in the best way and can turn a decent line into something proper chunky.
Speedboat Bonus in Sumo Sumo
Land three Speedboat Bonus symbols to start the Speedboat Bonus. You get three spins on a 5x5 grid with a Speedboat that holds an x bet value. The boat can see horizontally and vertically from its current position. If a new symbol lands in its line of sight, spins reset to three and the boat zooms to collect it. From the new stop, it will keep collecting as long as another target sits in view, creating satisfying chain routes.
Collected symbols do the work. Swimmer Sumo adds its value to the boat. Wakeboarder Sumo adds, then attaches, with a counter that increases every time the boat moves a position. Ramp multiplies both the boat's x bet and the wakeboarder counter. Harpoonist adds and increases the value of uncollected Swimmers or Wakeboarders; Turbo Harpoonist also bumps those values each time the boat collects. The feature ends after three dead spins, paying the boat's total plus any wakeboarder tally.
