Phoenix Graveyard 2: Slot Overview
At first glance, Phoenix Graveyard 2 keeps the grim charm of the 2022 original. The action sits on a 5x4 grid inside a moonlit shack by the headstones, with 1,024 ways that can swell into millions via splits. Wins pay left to right on adjacent reels. I rate the core loop as tense but readable, base spins tease openings in the feature row, then the Phoenix and Reaper start meddling with respins, multipliers, and symbol removal to push a setup over the line.
Stakes run from 0.20 to 100, with high volatility, a 25% hit rate, and an RTP of 94%. The headline figure is a 25,000x max win, which suits the feature density. Five X-iter buys exist for those who like to skip the queue via Bonus Hunt at 2.5x, Mega Bonus Hunt at 5x, Splitting Frenzy at 50x, or straight entry to Free Spins for 100x and Super Free Spins for 500x. I stuck to base play first to gauge cadence, then mixed in buys.

Graphics, Sounds, and Animation in Phoenix Graveyard 2
The art nails a bleak, misty graveyard with candles, skulls, and a crooked tree framing the reels. Character symbols flip to skeletal forms during features, which adds bite when the tempo rises. ELK's audio team earns its keep here; the low, eerie score swells at the right moments without drowning the clicks. I like how the Phoenix and Reaper feel distinct on screen, their clashes punctuated by sharp stings, making the mechanical shifts clear even when the grid gets busy.
Symbols & Paytable in Phoenix Graveyard 2
On the paytable, the low-paying set is 10, J, Q, K, A, paying 0.2x to 0.4x for five of a kind. The premium townsfolk are the gravekeeper, florist, blacksmith, knight, and bishop, paying 1x to 2.5x for five. Phoenix and Reaper are wilds, substituting all regular pays, and an all-wild line pays as the top symbol. Wins hit on adjacent reels from the leftmost side. Scatters drive the bonuses, so I keep an eye on setups that pair them with open feature row positions.

Phoenix & Reaper Wilds in Phoenix Graveyard 2
Here, Phoenix Wilds do more than sub. When one lands, it awards a respin and opens a random spot on the feature row above. Reaper Wilds also substitute but behave as walking wilds, stepping left across the grid and granting a respin for each move while also opening a feature row position as they arrive. I like how the pair seeds momentum, you get space from the opened modifier, a fresh spin, and the chance for clashes or splits to land on a primed layout.

Wild Battle and Feature Row in Phoenix Graveyard 2
When Phoenix and Reaper land on the same row or sit vertically adjacent, a Wild Battle fires after pays. The winner takes a multiplier; if they draw, both gain one. If Phoenix wins, the next spin removes all low symbols. If Reaper wins, 1-5 feather wilds scatter across the grid. Feather wilds can also appear after a Phoenix is split or loses a battle, or when a split hits a symbol already at six ways, so the screen can fill fast.
The feature row sits above the reels with five locked slots. Phoenix or Reaper opens one before wins are counted, revealing either a blank or a modifier such as Split All, Split Right, Split Left, Split Reel, Split One, Spawn Phoenix, Spawn Reaper, or a Respin. Splits add ways by +1, or 1-6 for Split One. If a split lands above a reel holding a Reaper, the effect is powered up, so directional splits add 2-6, and Split One can improve 2-5 positions instead of one.
Each position can climb to six ways. If a split targets a spot already at six, that space turns into six wild feathers. When a split hits a Phoenix or Reaper, their multiplier rises instead of the cell. Open feature row slots lock after a win, unless a Respin symbol fires, a skull feature is active, or you are in the bonus or super bonus. This management layer matters; I often chase a line where a walking Reaper keeps feeding openings while the board stacks extra ways.
Free Spins and Super Bonus in Phoenix Graveyard 2
Land 3, 4, or 5 scatters to get 6, 8, or 10 free spins. If a respin is pending, scatters stick, which helps line up entries. The round begins with one Phoenix Wild already in play; it stays for the duration and moves to a new position on each spin. Any ways you gained on the trigger spin carry over. Extra Phoenix symbols that hit during the feature also persist and grant one extra free spin, so setups can snowball when splits and spawns cooperate.
During free spins, any Phoenix or Reaper that lands or moves will open one feature row position per spin. Open slots, split positions, and multipliers remain persistent for the whole round. When a Phoenix or Reaper sits on a spot with extra ways, they absorb those ways into their multiplier. The ways return to the cell when the wild leaves. This loop adds clarity as I look to park a walking Reaper on fat stacks while a Phoenix keeps the row active and trims junk symbols.
A super bonus can arrive two ways: land a super bonus symbol on the rightmost reel during free spins, or trigger the bonus during a Phoenix Skull or Reaper Skull sequence. When active, every feature row slot is open, the splitting effects are powered up, and you receive two extra spins. This mode changes the gear entirely; multipliers grow quicker, splits spread wider, and feather coverage ramps up. It is where I've seen the game step toward the 25,000x ceiling.
