First look at Phantom Pulse
Phantom Pulse runs on a 7x7 grid from Print Studios, with Cluster Pays evaluation needing 5 or more matching symbols joined horizontally or vertically. Wins clear, positions get marked, and repeat hits on those spots build multipliers. Pulse Bombs speed that build-up along. My spreadsheet decides faster than my gut, and the first entry it wanted was the 96.4% headline figure.
Abstract steel shapes, chromatic light and an electronic beat set the scene. Ceiling is 20,000x the bet. Base hit frequency sits at 32.37%, which matters far more than the ceiling once you start weighting sessions rather than screenshots.

Cashback-adjusted return on Phantom Pulse: my maths
Running the numbers on £100 staked at the default model, the house keeps £3.60. At 96.4% RTP the cashback closes the gap nicely: ten per cent back on net losses changes the whole equation, dropping the effective cost to roughly £3.24 before variance enters. Net positive on paper, at least, if the wagering counts in full.
Low game weighting drags the effective rate down, so I check the contribution line by line before committing a bankroll. Slots usually clear at 100% in UK schemes, but the £5 max bonus bet caps you well below the 50 maximum stake here. Break-even shifts once the rakeback is counted, though not far enough to call it an edge.
One caution on the RTP itself. Lower variants of this game circulate, and a drop to 94% wipes out most of what a weekly rebate returns. The weighted return rate needs recalculating monthly, and it needs recalculating per operator too. Check the in-game info panel, not the lobby tile.
Reading the paytable on the 7x7 grid
Gems fill the lower tier: shard, block, penta and hex, each worth 50x the bet for a full 49-symbol cluster. Creature emblems occupy the top, with a manta ray, an owl, a beetle and a panther paying between 75x and 150x at that same size. Wild is a crystal bearing a W and covers every regular symbol.
Scatters take the form of a golden triangular device. A charged version exists as well, and landing one among the triggering trio changes which bonus you get. The gap between low and high symbols is narrow by cluster-slot standards, which keeps single-cluster payouts modest and pushes almost all value into the multiplier stack.

How the bonus engine builds multipliers
Winning clusters burst, symbols drop into the gaps, and any repeat win on a marked position picks up an x2 that doubles with each further hit there. Every cluster pays by the sum of the multipliers it covers. Once the sequence stalls, everything resets. "Morphing Clusters" adds a guaranteed second win by transforming a winning set into an adjacent symbol.
Pulse Bombs fire when no further wins are available, either expanding outwards from a random point with the strongest upgrade at the centre, or unravelling inwards from an edge with the strongest upgrade outside. Three Scatters award up to 16 Pulse Spins, where multipliers stay persistent; a Charged Scatter upgrades that to a guaranteed bomb per spin.
My complaint sits squarely with the base game bombs. I logged long stretches where upgraded positions arrived repeatedly and the following cascade landed nowhere near them, so the multiplier board looked healthy while the balance did not move. The variance does not swallow the whole benefit inside the bonus, but in the base game the bombs cost you nothing and return roughly the same.
