Zillard King Megaways - Slot Overview

Red Tiger's Zillard King Megaways follows the 2022 release and sticks to the same mission. I start on five reels with a progress bar sat over the sixth, then work towards freeing the final reel whilst powering up a stacked Zillard Wild. Each spin can show 2–7 symbols per reel, so with the last reel open you get up to 117,649 ways. Cascades chip away at wins, and the big lizard Wild carries a variable multiplier and clings to the grid until it actually helps.

RTP, Volatility & Wager Limits in Zillard King Megaways

Stakes run from 20p to £4, which suits low budgets but caps upside for high rollers. The top RTP sits at 95.72%, with lower variants like 94.71% and 93.67% also out there, so I always check the info panel before spinning. It is a high volatility model with a stated hit rate of 31.79%, and a max payout of 24,393.9x the bet. Progress on the meter is saved per stake size, which matters if you switch denomination mid grind.

Symbols and Paytable for Zillard King Megaways

Low pays are the 10–A ranks, worth around 0.3x to 0.6x for a six of a kind. Premiums fit the theme: a footprinted stone, a compass, a gas mask or helmet, a helicopter, and Zillard's egg. Six of the top egg pays 15x, whilst the other premiums land between 1x and 5x for six. Wins form left to right on adjacent reels, and cascades follow each hit, which lets premiums chain together when the grid breathes after symbols drop.

Special icons drive the game flow. Gold Coins feed the meter on reel six during the build-up, and after the bar is gone they can still appear on that reel. The headline Zillard Wild is a 4x1 stacked symbol that always lands fully and substitutes, carrying a multiplier shown as x2 to x7. Thunder Wilds are single wilds that can appear later on, helping connect ways. None of these smash the paytable alone; they set up runs when the screen clears.

Zillard Wild and Evolution in Zillard King Megaways

The Zillard Wild sits on reels 2–5, always covering the reel and sticking around. If it lands and fails to contribute, it stays until it does. When it helps, it is not removed by the cascade and its symbol multiplier climbs by one for the same sequence. That multiplier counts how many symbols the Wild represents for ways maths, starting between x2 and x7. This stickiness is the core of the slot, and it is where the swing comes from.

A three-stage meter sits over reel six. Each stage needs 30 Gold Coins. Stage one adds a Life Point to the Zillard Wild, meaning it holds for one spin after creating a win. Stage two adds another Life Point and loads Thunder Wilds onto the strips on the next spin. Stage three adds a third Life Point and grants access to the bonus trigger. Coins can drop during cascades, so progress can spike when the screen clears a few times.

Once all three stages are done, the bar vanishes and the rightmost reel is freed, now showing only premiums and special symbols. At that point Coins shift to that reel. Progress is saved per bet level, so swapping stakes mid session can park your climb. In my sessions the Wild did not appear that often in the base, but when it did land and cling, the whole machine came alive, with the meter edging forward and the multiplier stepping up.

Thunder Wilds and Free Spins in Zillard King Megaways

Thunder Wilds arrive in two ways. Before stage two, they can be called at random after a non-winning spin that already has the Zillard Wild in view. After stage two, single Thunder Wilds are added to the strips and may land on any spin, which helps stitch wins across reels 2–5. They substitute and behave like regular wilds, but the real punch still comes from getting them to connect with the stacked Zillard Wild when the screen tumbles.

The bonus round needs a Gold Coin on reel six whilst the Zillard Wild is present. You start with four free spins, plus one extra for each Life Point left on the Wild at entry, up to seven. The Zillard Wild stays fixed for the whole round and can call Thunder Wilds at the start of a spin. A Feature Buy is offered in some markets for 110x the stake, guaranteeing the entry setup, but that purchase is not available in the UK.

Theme and Presentation of Zillard King Megaways

Zillard King Megaways paints a storm-lashed scene, with a wobbling Golden Gate lookalike off to the right and a warship rolling in rough water. The sequel looks sharper than the first game, and the audio flips between crackling thunder and a tense score, which ramps up during features. On mobile the portrait layout feels tight but functional; I missed the wider view from desktop, and landscape is not well supported, yet the 6x7 grid and effects still hold up.
