Gates of Hades Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
Gates of Hades runs on a 6x6 grid with cluster pays and tumbles, where five or more matching symbols connect horizontally or vertically to land a win. Stakes range from 20p to £240, and controls sit around the spin button, which keeps things simple. I played a few rounds at £1 in a demo, then pushed the stake higher for a burst at the end. Autoplay can be set up in some regions, but it isn’t available to UK online casino users.
I found a base RTP of 96.52%, but there are alternative settings that can drop to 94.47%. The game is high volatility and felt that way while testing. The hit rate sits at 28.99%, with free spins arriving roughly every 270 spins on average. The max win is 10,000x your stake. Super Free Spins are the best path to the top payouts, and I actually hit the cap once, which was a nice surprise even with spins left.
Gates of Hades Theme—Amazing Visuals Rejuvenate a Tired Theme
Greek mythology slots are everywhere, so I wasn’t exactly buzzing to load this up. It blew away my expectations on visuals and atmosphere. Hades stands to the right of the grid, the background is animated, and the whole scene looks sharp. The soundtrack fits the mood and Hades chips in with lines now and then, which helps sell the underworld setting. The only miss for me is a game-show-type jingle on bigger wins, which breaks the serious tone for a moment.
Gates of Hades Mobile Slot
On mobile, the slot keeps the crisp look and audio intact, so smaller screens feel lively rather than cramped. Portrait layout makes good use of the vertical space, and nothing felt cut down or blurry. I would happily play this on the go, though I still wish that upbeat jingle had been toned down for handheld sessions. Overall, it’s a high-quality conversion that gives you the same experience as desktop without trimming features or visual punch.
Symbols in Gates of Hades
The paytable mixes five gemstones and three premiums. For clusters of 5 to 15+, Blue Gem pays 0.05x to 5x, Green Gem 0.1x to 7.5x, Yellow Gem 0.15x to 10x, Purple Gem 0.2x to 12x, and Orange Gem 0.75x to 45x. The Goblet pays 1x to 60x, the Ring 1.25x to 120x, and the Crown 1.5x to 150x. With 36 symbols in view, multiple clusters can land together, and bigger cluster sizes raise the return sharply on the top symbols.
Wild symbols help form wins and can carry multipliers. When they land, the multiplier values are sent to the top of their columns and apply to any cluster wins underneath. Scatter symbols are your ticket to free spins, with three or more triggering the feature. It’s a clear layout that makes it easy to track value as clusters grow, and those top-end Crown clusters can really move the needle when multipliers line up.

Gates of Hades Bonus Features
Wild Multipliers can appear in the base game and the bonus. Each Wild can reveal a value from x1 to x100 that is collected above its column during spins and tumbles. Any winning cluster is multiplied by the sum of multipliers on the columns involved in that cluster. In the base game, those multipliers clear at the end of the tumble sequence. In free spins, they persist, which is where the round ramps up and single spins can snowball.
Land 3, 4, 5, or 6+ scatters for 10, 12, 15, or 20 free spins. During free spins, Wild multipliers can reach up to x500 and stay in place until the round ends. Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6+ scatters adds 5, 7, 10, or 12 extra spins. Hit 6 or more scatters to trigger 20 Super Free Spins, where the minimum Wild multiplier is x10. The rules are the same, but the floor on multipliers helps clusters deliver bigger returns more often.
If available in your region, you can buy the bonus. Paying 100x your stake triggers free spins, and 500x buys Super Free Spins. In both cases the round will start with 3 to 6 scatters, so the super buy doesn’t always begin at 20 spins. I like how the multipliers stack on columns across the round, then apply only where clusters hit. It keeps each drop tense and gives you a clear sense of progression.
Gates of Hades Verdict: A Fantastic Slot that’s Well Worth Trying
The gameplay is the highlight, driven by tumbles and column multipliers that stick during the bonus. I enjoyed it even before hitting the cap. The only downsides for me are the 10,000x ceiling and that game-show-type jingle, which breaks the mood. Everything else clicks, from the visuals to the escalation in Super Free Spins. If you like cluster pays with multipliers that can build across a round, Gates of Hades is easy to recommend.
