Each removed symbol adds 1 step to the Collect Meter. At 25 steps the game adds coins and wilds, then resets the meter by 25. Hit 50 and it overcharges, adding more coins and wilds before resetting by 50. In the base game the meter resets between spins, so chains matter. In free spins it doesn't reset.
