Basic Information for Cash Defense

I went into Cash Defense knowing it leans hard into tower defence. It runs on 5 reels and 4 rows with 26 paylines, paying left to right. Stakes range from 10p to £20. The vibe mixes mediaeval towers with alien bugs, and Print Studios’ SuperSpinners sit between reels to multiply line wins when crossed. Volatility lands around mid to high, so streaks can run hot or cold. It’s a proper line game at heart, but the TD rounds change the rhythm in a big way.

Key numbers matter here. The RTP sits at 96.29% on the regular game. Hit rate is quoted at 27.83%. Bonus entry can take a while organically, roughly one in 289 spins, so patience helps. When the features land, the ceiling opens up, with a max win capped at 20,000x. I found the base holds interest through SuperSpinner configs, but the real spikes come once the towers start firing and the Jumbo symbol gets loaded with eliminated enemies.

Tower Defense Features (TD) in Cash Defense

There are two TD modes, and both play in two parts. Part 1 is the defence game: enemies march along a path while your towers shoot. Arrow towers are better at single targets, cannon towers are better at groups. Enemies you eliminate become valuable later. Part 2 switches back to spins with a Jumbo symbol that substitutes for the enemies you took down. That’s where setups can snowball, especially if you’ve loaded the board with strong premiums.

Mini TD Feature in Cash Defense

Mini TD triggers from the Mini TD symbol on reel 5. Part 1 gives you two random towers against a wave of 10 enemies plus a separate Bonus enemy. Clear that Bonus enemy and you’re through to the Grand TD Bonus. Clearing standard enemies matters as well, because they convert into positions the Jumbo symbol can cover in the next step, so even a modest run can set up tidy hits.

Part 2 awards one spin with a Jumbo symbol covering reels 2 and 3. That Jumbo substitutes for all enemies eliminated during Part 1, and those eliminated types are displayed on it. Reels 1 and 4 only show blanks or relevant enemy symbols, which tightens things up. My better results came when the towers prioritised higher pays early, but it can also whiff if the defence phase misses too much.

Grand TD Bonus in Cash Defense

Grand TD enters either from the base with 3+ scatters, or by promoting from Mini TD. Four or five scatters also pay 20x or 100x the bet on the trigger. In Part 1, you pick a tower configuration. You get four towers and a longer path for 10 enemies. Eliminate at least five to unlock a second wave of 50 SuperSpinner enemies, which is where multipliers begin to stack up for the next stage.

Part 2 gives three spins with a Jumbo symbol across reels 2, 3, and 4. It substitutes for all enemies eliminated in Part 1, and that list can be chunky if your towers did work. For each SuperSpinner enemy eliminated in Part 1, a randomly selected SuperSpinner between the reels increases its multiplier by +1 before each spin. When those increases line up with premium coverage on the Jumbo, the maths can get lively.

It’s not easy to clear many enemies; more than three can be stubborn without the right tower mix. I tend to favour a balanced setup to keep single-target focus while still landing splash. Results range from blankish Jumbos to loaded boards with stacking multipliers. When it all clicks, the game shows the advertised power with a ceiling up to 20,000x, but the path there is steep and swingy.

SuperSpinners in Cash Defense

SuperSpinners appear in random positions between reels and carry multipliers. Any line win that passes through active SuperSpinners gets multiplied by those values, and multiple crossings stack independently. Each spin reconfigures their layout, so line geometry changes constantly. In Grand TD, eliminated SuperSpinner enemies from Part 1 increase selected SuperSpinner multipliers by +1 before each Jumbo spin, which can turn simple line wins into proper hits if the Jumbo has enough high-paying enemy types.

Cash Defense Symbols and Paytable

All enemy symbols are named. Lows are Dropax, Hornax, Bublax, and Rhinax. Highs are Steve, Alan, Mantisa, Scythra, Psykrona, and Mentarch. Five of a kind pays range from 1.5x up to 50x the bet, with Mentarch at the top. The regular scatter shows two towers; 4 or 5 pay 20x or 100x and trigger Grand TD from 3+. The Mini TD symbol lands on reel 5 to trigger Mini TD and doesn’t pay by itself. Coverage on the Jumbo drives real value.
