Ghost of Dead Slot Overview
Ghost of Dead brings very interesting twists to the classic book mechanic. You get special expanding symbol tension at random times in the base game via Ghost Spins, which nicely breaks up the usual grind. The look keeps that familiar Egyptian vibe while the gameplay adds two bonus round versions and a doubled 10,000x potential that can be cracked at any stage. Being able to pick your preferred expanding symbol from a limited selection also adds a bit of control without losing the core thrill.
Ghost of Dead Slot Information
This is a 5-reel, 3-row, 10-line slot released on 16.09.2021. Stakes range from 0.10 to 100, with a default RTP of 96.21% subject to adjustable RTP ranges. The math feels quite balanced with the possibility of considerable swings, and the expanding symbol system means big panels can hit without standard adjacency. Wins usually pay left to right, while special expansions pay on scattered positions once the required count lands.
Two flavours of free spins sit on top of the random Ghost Spin. Both bonus modes use chosen expanding symbols, keeping the feature familiar yet tense. The key is that expansions cover the entire reel and pay regardless of adjacency, so even broken lines can produce tidy totals. The maximum exposure reaches 10,000x, and because Ghost Spins can land in the base, that ceiling is theoretically in play throughout a session.
Ghost of Dead Symbols and Paytable
Lower paying symbols are 10, J, Q, K and A. Higher paying symbols are the Ankh, Snake, Scarab and Pharaoh Unas’ mask. Expansions don’t need to be adjacent; fill the screen and the payouts jump: the mask pays 10,000x for a full screen, Scarab 1,600x, Serpent 600x, Ankh 600x, while royals top out at either 120x or 80x. Premiums pay from two of a kind when used as the special symbol.
The jackal-headed urn acts as both wild and scatter. As a wild it substitutes for regular pay symbols, but it doesn’t combine with expanded wins. As a scatter it pays 2x, 20x or 200x for 3, 4 or 5 and awards 10 free spins. A green Spectral Scatter can appear to upgrade the bonus to the Awakened version. Symbol values scale cleanly, so your choice of special symbol matters for both hit rate and peak potential.

Ghost of Dead Slot Features
Wild Scatter Symbol: the urn stands in for regular symbols and also triggers the bonus. Land 3+ to get 10 free spins plus a scatter win of 2x, 20x or 200x for 3, 4 or 5. You then choose your special expanding symbol from three options. Expansions pay on scattered positions and can retrigger for 10 extra spins with 3+ scatters. Wilds are not involved in winning combinations from expanded symbols.
Ghost Spin: this feature can trigger at random in the base game. One regular symbol is selected to act as the special expanding symbol for that spin. If enough instances land (2+ premiums or 3+ royals), they expand to cover their reels and pay on scattered positions. The Ghost Spin is a one-off event and can’t be retriggered, but it breaks up base play with genuine shots at large panels.
Awakened Free Spins: trigger free spins with Spectral Scatters to enter the Awakened version. You still get 10 spins and pick 1 of 3 options as your special symbol, but the game will also randomly select a second expanding symbol during the feature. Retriggers are possible via Spectral Scatters. Gamble: after a win, you can guess the colour or suit of a faced-down card for 2x or 4x, up to 5 times per sequence, capped at 250x.
The 200 Spins Ghost of Dead Slot Experience
Any new book slot from this studio is something I always look forward to, and Ghost of Dead is a very solid instalment. Across my 200 spins session the random Ghost Spins injected proper tension, and the chosen symbol bonuses delivered frequent shots at chunky expansions. The pace never felt flat, and the pick-your-symbol element gave me a small but welcome edge in shaping the round. I had a great time testing it and the highlights stood out.
Ghost of Dead Review Summary
Ghost Spins break up base play and make the 10,000x potential feel live even without the bonus. The odds of the top hit sit at around 1 in 2.3 million, which is strong for this style. Picking your expanding symbol from a limited selection adds engagement without overcomplicating things. The Awakened free spins, with two chosen symbols in action, are the icing on the cake for panel-building moments.
On the downside, beware of adjustable RTP ranges and check the version in your lobby. Otherwise, this is one of the better entries in the genre: random base game spice, chosen expansions in the bonus, and a ceiling that can pop at any stage. I rate it as a go-to when I want classic book gameplay with a few smart twists and proper top-end punch.
